Dionté and Khai have just moved into a nice neighborhood to work at a nearby university, but when their neighbor Penn catches wind that two black people have entered their cozy suburbia, he invites them over to size them up. How will this meal go? Who truly has the power here?

Megan Schumacher — Playwright

Megan Schumacher (Villanova MA 2018) is a theatre artist residing in Philadelphia, PA.  She is a member of Simpatico Theatre’s Jourska PlayWorks and The Foundry at PlayPenn.  Her play Superlosers was produced for the 2018 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and Monster Mash was performed as part of the Going Viral Festival on Facebook.  She served as a production dramaturg for Quintessence Theatre’s performance of Angelina Weld Grimké’s Rachel and directed Out of the Shadows by Marissa Kennedy (Villanova MA ’18) at the 2019 Philadelphia Fringe Festival.

Malika Oyetimein — Director

Malika Oyetimein is a director/playwright who received her MFA from The University of Washington's School of Drama. She is also a member of the Directors Lab at Lincoln Center Theater. She was featured in Seattle’s City Art Magazine 2016 Future List and her productions of Bootycandy (2016 ) and Hoodoo Love (2017) were nominated for Gregory Awards: Best Production. She is also the co-adapter and director of Dr. Maya Angelou's I Know why the Caged Bird Sings (Book-It Repertory Theatre) which garnered a Gregory Award nomination for Best Director.
